Pakistan Salary Increment Calculator
Calculate how much of your raise you actually keep after FBR tax, by comparing your current and new take-home pay on the same fiscal year’s slabs.
How salary increments affect take-home pay
A gross raise is not the same as the amount added to your bank account, because Pakistan’s salary slabs are progressive: a higher salary can push part of your income into a higher band.
Worked example (FY 2026-27)
A monthly salary of Rs. 200,000 (Rs. 2,400,000/year) carries Rs. 156,000 of annual tax (Rs. 13,000/month) on the FY 2026-27 slabs. A Rs. 40,000/month raise to Rs. 240,000 (Rs. 2,880,000/year) carries Rs. 252,000 of annual tax (Rs. 21,000/month). The Rs. 480,000 annual gross increase becomes a Rs. 384,000 annual take-home increase — 80% of the raise, because part of it falls in the 20% band both before and after.
This tool taxes gross annual salary only, on the fiscal year’s FBR slabs. It does not model pension/provident-fund contributions, medical allowance or zakat — use the full salary calculator for those.
Salary increment calculator FAQs
Why is my take-home increase smaller than my raise?
Because tax is deducted from the extra income at your marginal band, and a big enough raise can push part of your salary into a higher band than before.
Can I calculate an increment for an earlier fiscal year?
Yes — the fiscal year selector covers FY 2022-23 through FY 2026-27, using that year’s own FBR slabs.
What should I enter for a percentage raise?
Switch the increment toggle to Percentage and enter the raise percentage, for example 10 for a 10% raise on your current monthly salary.
Does this include pension or provident fund?
No, to keep the comparison simple. Use the full Pakistan salary tax calculator for a single year including those deductions.
